Running For Poppy: 6.6Km A Day In October

So this year I wanted to really challenge myself and go a step beyond last years amazing 10 Mile Run in York. So I’ve decided to run 6.6km a day in October.

I was inspired by Jess over at The Legacy Of Leo and her Ignite Your Lion Campaign to really push myself. I want to make Poppy proud and show her little brother that with determination, hardwork and heart that you can achieve anything.

Poppy weighed 6lb6oz when she was born and then so dod Reuben so it felt only right to run 6.6Km.IMG_3437

Most of all this is another step and piece of Poppy’s Legacy. She will make a difference in the world. This year I’m raising money for Tommy’s The Baby Charity.  They fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They truly believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies. They also have a Rainbow Baby clinic to help families going through pregnancy after loss.

Training has already started and while I’m nervous I can’t wait for October to do this for Poppy. Over the next few weeks I’ll be plaining routes and if able would like to come along on one of the runs then please let me know via the contact page or over on my Instagram.

You’ able to follow all my updates on Insta. If you’d like to donate I’d by over the moon and want to to give you a hug. The link to my Just Giving page is below along with some links to Tommy’s.
